RV Mekong Prestige II Reviews

7 Nights on RV Mekong Prestige II
...We had a 7 day cruise in March 2014. From Siem Reap to Saigon on RV Mekong Prestige II. The boat was new this year. Very interesting excursions in the morning and afternoon along the Mighty Mekong River. The crew were delightful and went out of their way to ensure that we had a great time.

The food was good, and varied. - Bear in mind that the food is Asian, which we love - but others were less adaptable. The boat was not full, and there was lots of space both in the sun and in the shade. It is really great to relax after visit the Legend Angkor Wat Temples. I do not normally like the idea of cruises, but this was a great way to seen Cambodia and Vietnam...

A Big Thank for RV Mekong Prestige II
completed an 8 day river cruise on board RV Mekong Prestige II from Ho Chi Min City (Vietnam) to Siem Reap (Cambodia), organised by Mekong Prestige II Online. It is easy to pay online, get confirmation, cabin number and embarkation contacts.
The boat was excellent - well maintained, clean with modest but adequate size cabins and large very well fitted en-suites. The crew members from Vietnam and Cambodia provided outstanding customer service which is sadly lacking in Australia. We learned a lot of history, cultures of Vietnam and Cambodia. The food was excellent - a range of Asian and western cuisine. This was a comfortable way to be exposed to this very interesting part of the world and we highly recommend RV Mekong Prestige II for my family ...

Explore Vietnam and Cambodia
Mekong Prestige was fantastic. A relaxing way to see parts of Vietnam and Cambodia. The crew couldn't do enough for you to make sure you were comfortable. Our cabin had plenty of storage, including for cases. The food was varied and plentiful.... Breakfast was a buffet, but other meals were served by the delightful waiters. Coffee etc was available on the sun deck all day... Everyday there was a different cocktail before dinner. In Phnom Penh the local orphanage provide the evenings entertainment with singing and dancing, they were as good as the professional show we saw later in Siem Reap as they so obviously enjoyed showing us their skills. The crew, Vietnamese and Cambodian, presented a show on the last night. The Vietnamese and Cambodian guides were superb...

Thanks for the wonderful journey
I would like to reiterate what others have said of the Mekong Prestige II. It's more like a family than passengers and crew, that's how we were made to feel. The crew from Captain down to the laundry lady couldn't do enough for us. Every off shore excursion we were escorted not only by excellent tour guides but members of the crew to make sure we were looked after. We had so much fun on our journey from Vietnam to Cambodia. As for the food, and there was plenty of Vietnamese and Khmer food, I can hardly describe how fantastic that was in variety, and presentation, comparable to any first class restaurant. As a world traveller this was one of our best experiences.

RV Mekong Prestige - Must Do from Tripadvisor Reviews

I had the incredible pleasure of 8 days on the RV Mekong Prestige II on the Mighty Mekong River from Cambodia to Viet Nam. After this time with the crew they were more like great new friends than service staff. I looked forward to their smiles and eagerness to serve every morning (thank you, Mekong Prestige, for the early riser coffee and pastries, it was a wonderful way to start each day!) and at every meal. The stunning food in breakfast, lunch and dinner with many dishes for the choice we loved it. A warm welcome back to the boat every time we left for an excursion, with fragrant face cloths and a refreshing drink. Continuous checking and stocking of our cabin, and turndown service before bed. The boat was clean (they were constantly cleaning things!) and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and then some. The top deck is awesome. I've been on about 10 cruises and this was hands down one of the very best. I'd go back again tomorrow; I'd go anywhere with RV Mekong Prestige Cruise!

Mekong Prestige - First Class from Tripadvisor Reviews

Our 8 day Mekong river cruise with Mekong II was fantastic. A relaxing way to see parts of Vietnam and Cambodia. The crew couldn't do enough for you to make sure you were comfortable. We were lucky in that there were only 35 on our cruise, but I'm sure it would be just as pleasant if full. Our cabin had plenty of storage, including for cases. The shower was powerful. Water was supplied in the cabin and on trips. The food was varied and plentiful. Breakfast was a buffet, but other meals were served by the delightful waiters. Coffee etc was available on the sun deck all day. Everyday there was a different cocktail before dinner. There were two trips most days but it was up to you if you joined in. In Phnom Penh the local orphanage provide the evenings entertainment with singing and dancing, they were as good as the professional show we saw later in Siem Reap as they so obviously enjoyed showing us their skills. The crew, Vietnamese,  Cambodian and International, presented a show on the last night. The Vietnamese and Cambodian guides were superb.
